Return and Refund Policy – Happy Counters

At Happy Counters, we want you to love your unique souvenirs, ethnic gifts, and antiques as much as we do. If something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help with our Return and Refund Policy. Please read below to understand how returns and refunds work when you shop with us at happycounters.com.

1. Eligibility for Returns

  • Timeframe: You may return eligible items within 3 days of delivery.
  • Condition: Items must be unused, in their original condition, and returned with all packaging, tags, or documentation received.
  • Exceptions: Due to their unique nature, antiques, custom-made items are non-returnable unless defective or incorrectly shipped. Check product listings for specific details.

2. How to Return an Item

  • Step 1 – Contact Us: Email us at [email protected] within 3 days of delivery. Include your order number and reason for return.
  • Step 2 – Get Approval: We’ll respond with return instructions and a shipping address. Do not send items back without approval.
  • Step 3 – Ship It Back: Pack the item securely and ship it to us within 7 days of receiving return approval. We recommend using a trackable shipping method—you’re responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was defective or incorrect.

3. Refund Process

  • Inspection: Once we receive and inspect your return (typically within 5 business days), we’ll notify you of approval or rejection.
  • Approved Refunds: If approved, we’ll refund the original purchase price (excluding original shipping fees) to your original payment method within 30 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time to reflect in your account.
  • Rejected Returns: If the item doesn’t meet our conditions (e.g., used or damaged), we’ll return it to you at your expense or dispose of it if shipping isn’t feasible.

4. Defective or Incorrect Items

  • Our Mistake: If you receive a damaged, defective, or wrong item, let us know within 2 days of delivery. We’ll cover return shipping and provide a full refund or replacement, based on availability.
  • Proof: Please include photos of the issue when contacting us to speed up the process.

5. Shipping Costs

  • Non-Refundable: Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless we shipped the wrong or defective item.
  • Return Shipping: You cover return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns. We’ll handle shipping for our errors.

6. Exchanges

  • We don’t offer direct exchanges at this time. To swap an item, return it following the steps above and place a new order for your desired product on happycounters.com.

7. Non-Returnable Items

  • Antiques (unless defective), custom orders, and gift cards, clearance items are final sale. See individual product pages for exclusions.
